About the Founder. Meet Alicia Nolan.

There are rare individuals who transform personal adversity into a powerful force for change; Alicia Nolan is such a person. Through her initiative, Choose to L;VE, LLC, Alicia channels her personal challenges into advocacy for mental health and suicide prevention. Her dedication extends beyond advocacy, becoming a passionate quest to inspire change and resilience. With degrees in Business Administration, Criminal Justice (Forensics focus), and Dual Master's in Homeland Security and Emergency Disaster Management, Alicia's educational background is impressive. Her commitment is further highlighted by certifications in Master Resiliency Training, Mental Health First Aid, Question Persuade Refer Gatekeeper, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, and received the "It Starts With Me" Award from Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention Partnership.

 

Alicia's advocacy is also visible in her role by being voted 2024 Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce: 40 Under 40 Business Leaders as well as her publications in "The Hands They Were Dealt" by Mandy Penn; Triumphant: Stories of Inspiration, Empowerment, and Success by Dr. Garrett Goggans; and Stories of...Veterns by Trunnis Goggins II. Her brand, Choose to L;VE, LLC, symbolized by the semicolon, represents continuity and hope, offering products that support the Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention Partnership, evidencing her commitment to making a tangible difference.

 

Driven by the loss of her wife, Alicia fights for systemic mental health reform and a shift in societal attitudes towards mental illness. Her work embodies a powerful narrative of transforming personal grief into a broader force for societal benefit, urging a future where mental health is prioritized.
